Pennsylvania Medicare Supplement Plans are available to help pay out-of-pocket costs that Original Medicare does not typically cover. In order to enroll in a Pennsylvania Medicare Supplement Plan, you must have Medicare Parts A and Part B. Pennsylvania has ten standardized Medigap plans for purchase. Benefits are the same across each letter category regardless of insurance carrier. For example, Plan F will have the same benefits as Plan F with another carrier. The only difference is the cost of the premiums. The best time to enroll in a Medigap policy is during the six-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period. This period begins first day of the month you both turn 65 or older and enrolled in Medicare Part B.
